Project Planning & Management
ü Planning and scheduling site activities to ensure completion of the project within the time and budgetary parameters and for optimising resource utilisation. ü Involved in preparing technical specifications including BOM and Cost Benefit Analysis, resource & task scheduling, resource deployment and team meetings for reviewing progress of the project. ü Maintaining good PR with higher officers in Railway, PWD, KSEB and other Government agencies interacting with customer support team to provide real time solutions on networking issues. Network Engineering and Design ü Designing network layouts & managing installation, configuration and commissioning of Broadband systems & devices viz., broadband amplifiers, Optical fibre networks and networks for new centers, Earth Stations. ü Handling RF coaxial network design for analog and digital transmission as well as Optic fiber network design for digital and analog signal transmission. ü Managing Optical Fiber Fusion splicing using Ericsson FSU 925 RTC, Sumitumo and conduct Fiber loss measurement using OTDR (Exfo FTB 300). ü Overseeing Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) Broadband Networking & Development viz., implementation of Internet/Intranet via Cable & OF Network by integrating CMTS and OLT MUX (Nortel and Tejas). RF Optimisation ü Conducting RF planning activities and classifying the clutter into various segments such as urban, dense urban, semi urban, rural, etc. ü Undertaking re-design and upgradation of existing CATV networks for Internet over cable compatibility by adding Reverse Amplifier (RA) kits and reverse signal receivers. ü Leading designing, construction and maintenance of Co-axial cable networks for CATV transmission using Commscope cables, amplifiers and field Power supply units. ü Conducting RF signal level testing at Head End and Field using Field Strength Meter (Deviser) as well as RF noise tracing using Spectrum Analyzer. Operations & Maintenance ü Ensuring smooth operations and maintenance of the communication networks for providing operational support to communication clients. ü Handling Installation, configuration and administration of Optic fibre networks using Single Mode Optic Fibre, fibre transmitters, return receivers, nodes and optical couplers etc. ü Managing installation, configuration and administration of CATV Head End equipped with Dish farm, Satellite receivers C & Ku band, PAL-B agile/fixed modulators and Launch amplifiers etc. ü Transmission Optimization – monitoring daily transmission statistics, investigating cause of outages, trouble-shooting & repair, planning & technical aspects of transmission and follow-ups. Team Supervision/ Training ü Heading highly talented teams of engineers, supervisors and technicians & handling projects related to networking, system administration, installation, maintenance & support. ü Conducting training programs and undertaking development activities on functional specifics of the networking and network up gradations |
